This tour give you the challenges to Climb Kilimanjaro (Lemosho route), Enjoy the Serengeti and Beach in Zanzibar. It is recommended for someone coming to Tanzania for the first time and want to do it all for one go -

The Lemosho Route is an un spoilt, remote, little used and beautiful way up to the Shira Plateau. It can either be used to gain the Western Breach route or followed by the Kibo South Circuit to ascend by the easier Barafu Route. The route is one of the few where groups may be accompanied on the first day by an armed ranger, as the forests around the Lemosho Glades are rich in buffalo, elephant and other big game animals.

Day 0 Arrival (JRO) -> Moshi (B)

Meet and greet at in Kilimanjaro International Airport 8:35pm followed by private transfer to your hotel which beautifully  lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will check into Stella Maris Lodge which is a great base for exploring Moshi and what it offers. Acclimatize to Kilimanjaro life. Visit local markets. Try fruit vendors’ offers. Simply observe – different.

Day 1– Mti MKubwa (B, L, D)

An early morning transfer to Londorossi Gate for registration and meeting your expedition crew. Then another transfer is needed to the starting point of Lemosho route. This route offers a scenic variety where no day is the other alike. You will start this expedition wondering how it will be. You will finish it knowing how it was - connected to Kilimanjaro, people, nature and yourselves – adventurous.

Day 2 – Shira Camp 1 (B, L, D)

Leave Mti Kubwa Camp towards Shira Camp 1. Few things are as humbling as being passed by porters on a mountain hike so don’t forget to cheer on your porters who will set your tent, fetch water and prepare the equipment at the next campsite –impressed.

Day 3 –Shira camp 2 (B, L, D)

Today is a long trekking day that takes you from montane forest to the open spaces of Shira 2 camp. Let your body and mind adapt and find their natural rhythm in harmony with the spectacular surroundings – synchronized.

Day 4 – Barranco via Lava Tower (B, L, D)

This is one of the best days for acclimatizing, as you will trek high via Lava Tower and sleep low at Barranco hut. You will cover a great trekking distance in different, almost unreal sceneries. One of the highlights is the Senecio section before you reach Barranco camp. Make sure you hug one of these spectacular plants. Will you fell small? Maybe. Will you feel connected? Definitely! – humbled.

Day 5 – Barafu Camp (B, L, D)

Karanga camp offered you a great interval and it is time to approach the Barafu summit camp. The trek is relatively short,allowing you to rest and eat at the campsite while preparing yourself mentally for the pending task. Make sure you eat and drink properly – prepared.

Summit night –Uhuru Peak

All the research, planning, booking, imagining, excitement and training will climax in your attempt for the Uhuru Peak summit. You will need all your mental and physical abilities for the steep ascent to the ‘roof of Africa’. Boost your energy level from the stars. Let the moon shine your path. Feel connected to everything around you and instead of seeing the mountain as an obstacle, become one with it. The first rays of light will give you that extra push you need at Stella Point and the reward that waits at Uhuru Peak will not be disappointing, perhaps rather life changing – elevated.

Day 6 –Mweka Camp (B, L, D)

It is as if all the tiredness disappeared once you reached the peak. Feel proud, think of loved ones, print memories of a lifetime in your head and on your memory card.
