I visited in May 2014
My wife and I used Bramwel for a week-long safari in Tanzania in May 2014 and could not have been happier with the booking process and the experience.
We asked 8 or 9 different companies for estimates and were pretty wary after a friend had a bad experience with another company who unexpectedly switched him to downgraded hotels once he had arrived. So communication was particularly important to us.
William with Bramwel was the most responsive and helpful person of all the companies we'd worked with, and their prices were among the best. We asked for a proposal for a week and received a very detailed document with prices, pictures, itinerary, etc, within a day. My wife and I also did our own research about game locations, hotels, etc, and went back and forth with our own requests and itinerary modifications, and no matter how high maintenance we were, William could not have been more accommodating. Even after we settled on a plan - skip Arusha, do Serengeti/Ngorongoro/Manyara/Tarangire and add a resort in Zanzibar, Bramwel remained helpful in a way I've never experienced with professional services.
We wanted Internet access so William bought us two SIM cards with service. Had a toothache on the trip (in the middle of nowhere) and Bramwel figured out how to get some medication the same day. Everything little detail was taken care of -- little flights between airports, rides, needs during safari -- and from the point we landed till the point we left felt like royalty. The service was particularly valuable since we were not familiar with Tanzania and valued the support we got.
Our driver, Gideon, too was amazing. He found so many animals the first day (Tarangire -> Serengeti) that we started having fun by giving him a list of animals we wanted to see and made a game of how quickly he could take us to one. He was constantly on the radio with park rangers and any time he heard of something interesting -- a kill, the rare leopard -- he raced to get us in a position for great pictures before most other drivers caught up with us. This was particularly effective since during slower periods (and they happened), whenever there was a lion, within 15 minutes the area would be filled with another 20 jeeps, and being first meant having the best view.
Bramwel provided us with one of the best travel experiences we've ever had and we recommend them highly.
We pre-paid for a 7-day safari and 7-day Kilimanjaro trek. Despite pre-paying in full before arrival, NONE of our reservations had been made as promised. The owner also reversed the order of our safari and mountain trek without notifying us until we arrived. As of this writing, Bramwel Safaris owes me more than $5,000 USD which they are unable to pay.
Me and my girlfriend had a safari tour for 3 days with Bramwel Safari. I searched a lot through internet and we made a decision to have this experience with Bramwel. From the first moment that our great guide Fred met us at airport till the last goodbye, we always realized that how correct decision we made by choosing Bramwel. Just contact them and leave the rest, ...
My friends and I recently visited Tanzania for work and decided to do a safari in the area. We were staying in Dar-Es-Salam. We did our research and given the time constraints, we decided to enjoy the Ngorongoro Crater. We made our own flight arrangements from Dar to Arusha. The rest was taken care of Bramwel. William is very responsive and on time with every addit...
We spent 13 wonderful days wandering at our own pace through multiple parks under the care and guidance of a fabulous guide.
We saw LOTS of animals, including the 'big five' and had the privilege of watching numerous lions, leopards wild dogs, hippos, elephants, monkeys, giraffes, massive herds of wildebeest and zebras... the list goes on and on.
We came across this group through Google as well as TripAdvisor for its ratings and reviews. When I travel, I rely heavily on word of mouth, Google search, trip advisor, travel sites (Lonely Planet, Conde Nast, Fodor's, etc).
Climbing Kilimanjaro has been on my bucket list for the last 4 years. So, it was important to me that I have a travel crew who is accommoda...

You must do the Kilimanjaro climb once in your life as well as the famous African safaris!!! From the moment we met William at Arusha, our safari in Tanzania was an event never to forget. His staff took us on a tour of national parks and the amazing Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. Our tent safari was highlighted by excellent food, amazing scenery, and fantastic close-ups with a variety of animals from elephants to lions, and leopards to hippos.
My wife and I started planning our honeymoon a while ago and were lucky enough to find Bramwel Safaris. This Arusha based company run by two Tanzanians was an absolute gem from beginning to end. The owners Freddy and William offered great advice and flexibility while planning our route. Communication and Advice A++!!!
