5 DAYS AFRICAN SAFARI (Kidepo National Park)
Day One – Kitgum
We depart Kampala at 8am on our adventure to the north. We stop for lunch in Gulu, before driving on to Kitgum where we break our journey for the night. We have dinner and overnight at Boma.
Day Two – Kidepo National Park
Depart Kitgum after breakfast and head to the remote Kidepo National Park and continue for check in, accommodation alternatives: dinner and overnight: Apoka Lodge, Inga Moru, Apoka Camp.
In the evening, we go on a game drive in search of lion, leopard, elephant, hyena, warthog, giraffe, and zebra. Kidepo is the only park in the country you get to see zebra and giraffe in the same location; it is also the only park that’s home to cheetah. No one travels to Kidepo to see mongoose, but you will see them at Kidepo. Accommodation alternatives: dinner and overnight,: Apoka Lodge, Inga moru, Apoka Camp.
Day Three – Kidepo National Park
After breakfast we head out for a morning game drive. We return to our accommodation to relax and have lunch, in preparation for our afternoon cultural experience with the Karamojong community which includes a welcoming traditional dance. Accommodation alternatives: dinner and overnight,: Apoka Lodge, Inga moru, Apoka Camp.
Day Four – Gulu
After breakfast we start our departure of Kidepo National Park and drive to Gulu where we stay for the night. Accommodation alternatives: Churchill Courts, Boma,Watoto Guest House.
Day Five – Kampala
After breakfast, depart Gulu and make our way to Kampala via Zziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch. In this ranch, Rhinos are being bred to be re-introduced into our National Parks: Rhinos became extinct in the wild due to rampant poaching. After lunch at the park, we continue to Kampala where our Safari ends.
