Day02- Nairobi- Amboseli National Park

Have an early breakfast and leave Nairobi and head to Amboseli National Park, driving through the picturesque southern part of Kenya. Arrive on time for lunch and proceed to an evening game drive in the park. Amboseli National Park is situated against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain (Mount Kilimanjaro). It’s famous for being one of the few places you can get close to free-roaming wild animals such as the big cats, herds of elephants, zebras, gazelles and buffaloes. Return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 03 Amboseli National Park

Spend the whole day in the park enjoying an early morning and late afternoon game drive in the park. You will have a chance to get a spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro during early morning hours or during sunset when the sky is clear. Arid as it looks the park has supported a diversity of wildlife together with the Masai who grazed their animals across the park thanks to the waters that run off Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your camp after the game drive for dinner and overnight in your camp on a full board basis.

Day 04 Amboseli National Park- Mount Kenya National Park

Have an early breakfast and depart thereafter for Mount Kenya National Park driving through Nairobi to the scenic central highlands of Kenya. Arrive on time for lunch at the Mountain Lodge where you will have a chance to view wild animals as they visit the salt lick from the comfort of your balcony. Relax in the lodge or go for a late afternoon game drive in the park where you will enjoy seeing elands, bushbucks, white tailed mongoose, tree hyrax, herds of elephants and endangered species such as bongo, rhino and giant forest hog. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 05 Mount Kenya National Park- Lake Nakuru National Park

Have an early breakfast and depart Mount Kenya for Lake Nakuru National Park driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley. Have a stop-over at Nyahururu and head to Thomson Falls one of the stunning waterfalls in Kenya and proceed to Rift Valley view point at Subukia where you get incredible views of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive on time for lunch at a lodge in the park and later proceed for a late afternoon game drive. Here you will have a chance to see thousands of pink flamingos that color the lake pink, buffalos, pelicans, water bucks and endangered white and black rhino. Return to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight.

Day 06 Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Depart from your lodge after an early breakfast and drive through the scenic Rift Valley to Masai Mara. You will have breathtaking views of hills, grasslands, extinct volcanoes and wheat plantations. Arrive on world’s famous game reserve on time for lunch in a lodge or tented camp and relax getting ready for a late afternoon game drive. Your game drive will definitely make you understand why Masai Mara is the most famous national reserve in the world. You will be surprised by the concentration of wildlife in this reserve. Return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 07 Masai Mara Game Reserve

Spend the entire day exploring this world famous game reserve. This reserve is not only the most popular game reserve in the country, it is probably why people visit Kenya. The reserve is set on a classic African savannah and the huge density of wildlife is astounding. Zebras, wildebeest and gazelles graze in large herds and as a matter of fact where prey is in plenty so are the predators. The reserve covers an area of approximately 1510 sq km of open grassland waters by the Mara River and Talek which is a tributary of the former. Here it is very common to see the big cats hunting; they are also in their numbers. The leopard is the hardest to spot of the famous Big Five, but in Mara it not as hard to see it relaxing on a tree. Hippos, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes also exist in large numbers. Return to the camp for overnight (NB: You may opt to forego one of your game drive for a visit to a Masai village for an amazing cultural experience. Balloon Safaris over the reserve are also available at an extra cost)

Day 08 Masai Mara Game Reserve- Nairobi

Rise up early for your last morning game drive before returning to your camp for breakfast. Later leave this great game reserve and drive back to Nairobi with picnic lunch en-route. Arrive in Nairobi at around 1600hrs. Should there be time before your home flight you might be interested in city tour.  If not you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight bringing to an end what we hope is a safari of your lifetime.
