Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast (not included in the package), head for Tarangire National Park with home-made packed lunches. Enjoy the game drive and then drive to your camp about 30 minutes drive from the park gate. Tarangire National Park is a classic park; it has been idolized in Hollywood movies, romanticized by early settlers and sought ever since by the modern traveler. Its open savannah contains looming primeval baobab trees and stretches of groves of acacia tortillis. You will see roaming herds of populous elephant and an impressive array of predators to provide the very definition of the African Bush. In the dry season, the permanent waters of the river lure animals from across the game lands of Northern Tanzania. This is a Bird watcher's paradise.

Day 2: Lake Manyara

After breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small park is home to some of the most diverse birdlife in Tanzania. Most notable are the large flocks of Flamingos, along with saddle billed stork, spoonbills, pelicans, and other shorebirds. The park is famous for its tree climbing lions. You can also spot a good mix of game that can be found on the salt licks near the shores of the lake. Baboons, elephants, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, hippo, and banded mongoose.
In the late afternoon you will head towards Karatu, a town set at the foothills of the Ngorongoro Forest. The lodge is located about 15 minutes from the entrance gate to the great Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park - Seronera

After breakfast, drive towards the great plains of Serengeti. On your way, you will pass by on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, which you will visit at the end of the safari. Explore the Serengeti game on your way to the camp. Arguably the most famous national park in the world, the vast predator rich Serengeti needs little introduction. The primeval paradise which is roughly the size of Northern Ireland or Connecticut has been the subject of countless wildlife films, each seeking to capture the unique spirit of these exhilarating eco-systems that was until recently the domain of the favored few. The unfurling plains of Central Serengeti also known as Seronera provide the stage for the most dramatic wildlife spectacle on the planet when the massed herds of a million wildebeest congregate on the short grass plains for the Great Migration. The great migration arrives in the Seronera area between May and July. The tented camp is located in Seronera.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Visit the Maasai Boma (Village) and learn about the Masai culture and how this nomadic tribe co-exists with the wild animals in the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Then you will stop over at the Oldupai Gorge. Over the last thirty years or so, it has become increasingly apparent that Africa is the "Cradle of Mankind". From Africa they spread out to populate the rest of earth. Remains of the earliest humans were found in Oldupai Gorge.
You will then head to your lodge for an early night sleep, as tomorrow morning, you have to start your drive to the Ngorongoro Crater well before sunrise.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast you will depart with packed lunches and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, through a twirling roadway taking you down by about 2000 ft. The base of the crater covers a whooping 100 sq miles and is home to over 25,000 wild animals. At about 1600 hrs ascend and head back to Arusha. You will in arrive Arusha at about 8.00pm, and you will be dropped off at your hotel. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is often called the ‘eighth wonder of the natural world’. The Makat soda lake is a great attraction for flamingos and other water birds, while predators hide in the marsh to ambush animals that come to drink from the river that feeds the lake. Game viewing around Lake Makat is especially rewarding because large animals like zebra and gazelle come to drink, while herds of hippos sun themselves in the thick lakeshore mud. After the game drive, you will drive back to Arusha and will be dropped off at your choice of hotel or location.
