Day 7

After breakfast, continue northwards, skirting Mt. Kenya to reach Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch. The stark beauty of this dramatic volcanic and thorn bush area on the northern frontier of Kenya is striking. William Holden and his friends turned their lodge into the most exclusive private club in the world and amid the hunting trophies and elegant surroundings, one can feel the lost, glamorous world of Churchill, Hemingway, and Ruark and all of that bygone era's dashing adventurers. The Equator runs through the hotel and when the clouds open to reveal Mt. Kenya, it is one of the most glorious views in Africa. Dinner and Overnight Mt. Kenya Safari Club (F/B)
