1st day: WINDHOEK (42 km)
This city is quiet “new”, has a little bit more than a century, but its history is as varied as the diversity of its population. The buildings are in German style of '900 and the population is formed by two fifths by Europeans. The town is not big and the center is nice, clean and tidy. Independence Avenue is the main street with all kinds of shops. Walking around the city is extremely pleasant. Overnight at the OLIVE GROVE, delicious guesthouse.
2nd and 3rd day: SESRIEM – SOSSUSVLEI – DEADVLEI - SESRIEM CANYON (350 km)
Namib Desert is one of the most popular destinations of Namibia, the oldest in the world, stretching for 400 km from north to south (and about 120 km from east to west) and is a true "desert living": Oryx, springbok and ostriches are the animals more visible and then again insects and birds, all of whom developed wonderful survival techniques adjusting their metabolism to survival in an extreme environment.
From Sesriem you drive about 60 km to enter the park (which has opening hours to the public to respect) to reach the mythical dunes of Sossusvlei we enter in a fantastic scenery of dunes gradually higher and higher. From here you can reach the Deadvlei, the "dead lake", dominated by the "Big Papa" (the highest dune in the area) that gives us the most beautiful and photographed landscape of Namibia. Accommodation provided at LE MIRAGE, a particular and fascinating building that offers great comfort and elegance, as well as a wellness center, "Mistyque Spa's", where highly qualified staff will suggest the most appropriate treatment to yourself, giving you the choice of a range of massages that will give relief to your body and your spirit.
4th and 5th day: SWAKOPMUND – WALVIS BAY – SWAKOPMUND (350 km)
Leaving Sesriem is interesting to follow the "Welwitschia Drive", a road that is located within the Namib Naukluft Park. Here you can see a very unusual and endemic plant of Namibia, the Welwitschia Mirabilis, long-lived plant that boasts an average of 1000 years of life. Spectacular is the view that can be admired at the Moon Landscape.
Arriving at Swakopmund is important to consider that the town offers a lot of extremely interesting excursions and activities that embrace and fulfill the interests of all. The excursion that we highly recommend is to Sandwich Harbour, which is located 56 km south of Walvis Bay, This is a completely wild place, where the sand dunes plunge into the ocean, and with 4x4 vehicles and accompanied by expert guides along the beach where you feel almost magically trapped between the two elements: the sand and the ocean. There are many other places to see, such as the salt pan of Walvis Bay and the pink flamingos, as well as the many sports that can be practiced such as quad biking, boat trips, surfing on the sand, horseback riding, biking, scenic flights and parachute... well two days of pure emotions. Overnight at the BEACH LODGE & SPA.
6th and 7th day: CAPE CROSS - DAMARALAND – TWYFELFONTEIN: ORGAN PIPES, BURNT MOUNTAIN (400 km)
For the lovers of the sea lions, a nice stop is Cape Cross, which is home of a large colony that loves to be photographed by tourists before flowing back into the cold ocean to continue the struggle for survival.
8th and 9th day: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK (280 Km)
Finally, the "animal kingdom," yes, these days will be dedicated to the national park for excellence in Namibia, where elephants, rhinos, lions and anything else you will have the chance to see during these days. It is in fact one of the first areas in the world dedicated to the nature conservation, a real "treasure chest" of plant and animal biodiversity. We are in an area of about 23,000 square kilometers of which one third is covered by the "pan", once, a large salted lake. The Etosha offers an impressive variety of animals: elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, kudu, springbok, impala. Among the major predators, lions, cheetahs and hyenas, the shy black rhino and the elusive leopard. Inside the park you can safely drive with your vehicle, observing speed limits and rules essential to its own security. The choice in this area could only fall on something really special: the EPACHA GAME LODGE AND SPA. Extraordinary elegance that shines through in every detail. The spa: the choice is vast, from a classic relaxing treatment to one called "stone massage", and closing his eyes and relaxing, will help to erase the fatigue and make even more vivid memorable images that the park has given you.
10th day: OTJIWARONGO AREA (250 km)
After leaving the park the trip continue in the south direction. The trip is almost over and to do it in beauty, overnight at a lodge called OKONJIMA which is an interesting stop for all those who love cats. It hosts the AfriCat Foundation is a nonprofit organization, committed long in the protection of large carnivores in Namibia, with special attention to leopards and cheetahs. It is great enjoying the activities organized by the lodge where you can observe in their environment these stylish and magnificent felines. Overnight at the BUSH CAMP, which is about 3 km from Main Camp. It is a very charming accommodation. 9 chalets elegantly furnished in ethnic style. Describe the beauty and the care with which they were decorated and designed is really very difficult, the only way to make the idea is to stay there. Dream experience.
11th day: WINDHOEK (250 km)
The last night could not be spent elsewhere. We speak here of a wonderful property that is located just 29 km from the city of Windhoek: the GOCHEGANAS NATURE AND RESERVE. Ideal compromise to spend the first or last night not far from the city, it is a real reserve that is home to many animal species. The lodge was built in African ethnic style, and boasts a delightful collection of stones and handicrafts. The property also has a Wellness Village, a wellness center offering beauty treatments and massages that use the most modern techniques and which are carried out at the request open in the middle of nature. The spa offers a variety of treatments, and beauty care products: with 11 rooms equipped for hydrotherapy baths, a Vichy shower, a heated indoor pool and a sauna built in a cave in the wall.
