Day 1 – 3 Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls

Upon arrival, you will be met and assisted at the airport by our representative.  Road transfer to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, where you will spend two nights on bed and breakfast basis.

The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is a luxury haven in an un spoilt area of Zimbabwe. The property is set high on a plateau overlooking the Zambezi National Park, and a mere 3km from the Victoria Falls.

The views from the lodge are spectacular and a great variety of wildlife can be spotted at and around the nearby waterhole. These include elephant, kudu, buffalo, waterbuck and various other smaller animals. The entire lodge has been built to afford its guests the best views of the bushveld, the national park and the waterhole. Each room has its own private balcony to ensure great views, and binoculars are available from reception if you’d like to get a close‐up view.

Day 3 – 5 Somalisa Camp, Hwange National Park

Enjoy breakfast in the hotel, before road transferring to Hwange Main camp. On arrival at Hwange Main Camp, you will be met by your guide from Somalisa and game drive to camp.  Stay 2 nights on an all inclusive basis.

Somalisa Camp is set in the heart of Hwange National Park, known as the land of the giants for its big elephant herds. Somalisa is an authentic bush camp, a blend of old African charm and elegance together with an exclusive safari experience.  Its stunning location tucked away on an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal flood plain gives it breath taking views of the savannah plains of the famous Kennedy Vlei line.

Only six elegantly furnished canvas tents with en suite bathrooms, flush toilet and romantic alfresco bush shower make up this camp.

Activities include guided walks lead by qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you, game drives and spot lighting as well as game viewing from hides.  Walking and game drives will allow you the opportunity to observe elephant, kudu and sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, the rare and endangered roan antelope, buffalo, giraffe, white rhino, lion, leopard, hyena, and many other wildlife species. The Kennedy vlei is littered with flamboyant colors from all its seasonal wild flowers that emerge as the first rains begin, and as the grass dries out, the large herds of buffalo, zebra and elephant are in abundance.

Day 5 – 7 Bumi Hills Lodge, Kariba

This morning after your game drive, you will be air lifted to Kariba. A representative from Bumi Hills Lodge will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to the lodge.

Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is situated on top of a hill approximately 55km south west of Kariba town. With the Zambezi escarpment as its backdrop, the well‐known Bumi Hills Safari Lodge overlooks the foreshore below and the vastness of Lake Kariba.

All 20 front facing rooms (10 premium rooms and 10 standard rooms) have a bath/shower, overhead fan, air conditioning, mini bar, tea/coffee facilities and a balcony or verandah.  All rooms have a view of the lake and often game may be seen grazing on the shoreline below.

The Lodge offers a variety of activities which include game viewing in open safari vehicles, on foot accompanied by a professional guide and by boat. The sunset cruise provides guests with wonderful photographic opportunities especially of the famous Kariba sunsets.  Bird watching, hide sits and casual fishing are also available.

Day 7 – 9 Kanga Camp, Mana Pools National Park

After your last morning activity at Bumi Hills Lodge you will be transferred by light air charter to Mana Pools where you will spend two nights at Kanga Camp. Here you will stay for the first two nights of your safari in Mana Pools, exploring the inland river beds, pans and open plains of the National Park by game drive and guided walks with you armed professional guide.

Kanga Camp has six tents set in the heart of Mana Pools National Park.  The main area of the camp is on decking overlooking the pan.  A relaxing lounge area under the shade of large trees overlooks the pan. There is the choice of taking game drives in open‐topped four‐wheel drive vehicles or walking with professional guides.  The opportunity to leave one’s vehicle and track game on foot is an experience rare in the national parks of Africa and in Mana Pools in particular this provides the visitor with the chance to track game in safety with an experienced professional guide.

Other activities canoeing which is organised on request.

Game abounds on the flood plains and in the Mopane woodlands of Mana Pools.  Kanga Pan particularly attracts great game in big concentrations as it is the only water found in the floodplain above the river. The predators, including lion, wild dog and leopard are often sighted and large concentrations of buffalo can be found in the Mopane woodland and open plains studded with Ilala Palms. Kudu, zebra, impala and waterbuck can be seen on the surrounding plains.  Elephant take advantage of the plentiful "albida" trees in the area. Bird watching is also a great attraction of the area.

Day 9 Mana Pools – Victoria Falls Airport

After your last morning in Mana Pools you will be transferred by light air craft to Victoria Falls Airport and your onward travel arrangements.
