June 01 - Nairobi arrival
After your morning arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you clear customs and immigration and meet your driver. You are transported to your Nairobi hotel for your overnight.

June 03- Nairobi to Sweetwaters 
Your first day of animal viewing searching out elephant, gazelle, giraffe, zebra, baboon, and many varieties of birds. The camp offers a beautiful view of Mt. Kenya, only 14 miles away across the savannah. Sweetwaters Tented Camp is no ordinary tented camp. While covered by canvas and resembling a tent, each bedroom suite has a full bathroom with flush facilities, a complete bedroom including a dresser and two double beds...not your ordinary tent. The suite also site on top of a solid base and is elevated from the ground four inches
After lunch in the dinning room of the old converted ranch house, and a chance to relax around the pool, you have an animal viewing drive.

June 04- Sweetwaters
The ranch is home to elephant, gazelle, giraffe, zebra, baboon and a large variety of birds. A rhino sanctuary is located on the property where you can feed and pet a black rhino, Morani. 
After dinner you take enjoy a special night animal viewing drive illuminated by spotlight. Nocturnal species like the spring hare, spotted genet or zorilla might be seen. Camel rides (optional) are also available.(B,L,D)

June 05 -Sweetwaters to Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast drive north across the Equator to the Samburu National Reserve. En route you pass through the town of Isiolo where you can practice your bargaining with the local Ethiopian community for copper and brass jewelry, and amber. Animal viewing along the way you arrive at Samburu on the bank of the Ewaso Ngiro River in plain view of the crocodiles basking in the shallows and on the riverbank. After an afternoon wildlife drive you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D,)

June 06 & 07 - Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast you depart by safari vehicle at 9:00am. You have two full days of animal viewing at Samburu with meals and overnight at one of our hand picked lodges. This fascinating reserve is home to a large herd of elephant and many other unusual species like the rare Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, dik-dik, long-necked gerenuk antelope, blue-necked Somali ostrich and vulturine guinea fowl, as well as other wildlife you are familiar with. June 08 - Samburu to Mt. Kenya Safari Club
After breakfast you drive south for 3 hours via Nanyuki to the famous Mt. Kenya Safari Club. Located right on the equator at 7000 ft. this famous safari club has a beautiful view of Mt. Kenya, the highest point in Kenya and the second highest in Africa. You have the remainder of the day free to explore this luxurious club and to enjoy the optional activities like horseback riding, golf, or just to relax around the pool. The buffet lunch is spectacular and well know as the finest cuisine in Kenya. (B,L,D,)

June 09 - Kenya Safari Club to Lake Nakuru National Park
After a morning animal viewing activity, you are transferred by road (3 hours) to Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is a shallow and alkaline (soda) lake located in the Rift Valley and known for its large flock of flamingos forming a shimmering pink band along the shoreline. The park also contains many other species of birds, hippos, antelope, predatory cats, black rhinos (recently introduced to you at Sweetwaters) and a small but growing herd of Rothschild giraffes. June 10 - Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
In the morning continue driving south (5.5 hours) to the Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch. 
Our accommodation on the Masai Mara Reserve is a luxury tented camp overlooking the northern Serengeti Plains. Each large 2-person tent is fixed to a concrete slab with a wooden roof, canvas walls, and fully-equipped flush toilet bathrooms. Up to three wildlife drives daily searching for the big five: elephant, black rhino, cape buffalo, lion, and leopard. (B,L,D,)

June 11, & 12 - Masai Mara National Reserve
Each day you have up to three wildlife runs in the Maasai Mara, including one before breakfast. The Mara contains all of the “big five”: elephant, black rhino, cape buffalo, lion and leopard, as well as an astonishing wealth of plains animals and other wildlife, including hilarious hippos wallowing in the Mara River. Chances are you can see some of the members of the “airstrip” pride of lions famous in the region. The Mara is renowned for the yearly wildebeest migration where as many as one and one half million of these comical animals come north from the southern Serengeti in Tanzania to spend a few months grazing in Kenya. They should be in residence during your visit at the Maasai Mara.(B,L,D)

June 13 - Masai Mara/Nairobi
Before breakfast you have a final wildlife run in the Mara. After breakfast at camp, you drive northeast via the Great Rift Valley to Nairobi. En route you pass through Narok where you can again bargain with the Maasai for their handicrafts. You arrive Nairobi about 2:00 pm where a dayroom has be arranged for rest and repacking. There is also an optional half day of touring in Niarobi for some last minute shopping (option 2). This evening you enjoy a delicious farewell dinner where you will dine on alligator, giraffe, gazelle, zebra, ostrich and other wild game. You are later transferred to the airport for a late night flight back home. (B,)
